CO-CAPTAINS LOH & MCCALMAN
Head Coach, Todd Louden has named Ciaran Loh and Jack McCalman as his Co-Captains to lead the troops this season. Jack and Ciaran are the ultimate Uni men and are tremendous leaders both on and off the field.
Ciaran has been at the Club since 2018 coming through our Colts system. He had a stint with Kyuden Voltex in Japan last season before returning to play an instrumental role in 2nd Grade’s Colin Caird Championship in 2023. Ciaran also won SUFC’s 2023 Player of the Finals! Ciaran said: “I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to lead the boys around this season with Jack. We’ve got a great young group of boys who are all extremely eager and hard working, and it’s awesome to be able to help the squad achieve our goal of bringing the Shute Shield back home again in 2024”
Jack enters his 4th year as our 1st Grade Captain! When asked about Captaining with Ciaran he said “I’m very excited to be working with Ciaran, as hooker, he is already a key leader in the group so it’s great to get the opportunity to work together”.
