We have finalised the 35 SUFC players and staff who will head to Tokyo next Sunday to contest the World University Rugby Invitational Tournament, which runs alongside the 2019 Rugby World Cup, in Japan later this month.

SUFC will be competing against some of the best university rugby teams from each continent.

The World University Rugby Invitational began in 2015 at Oxford University, and occurs once every four years, coinciding with the Rugby World Cup. This is the first occasion an Australian team has taken part in the tournament and we are keen to bring the trophy home with us!

The tournament offically starts on 16th September with the opening ceremony before our first game on 18th September v Siberian Federal University. If anyone is in Tokyo during this time we would love your support!
