In 2020, we’ve partnered with The Banksia Project to optimise our players performance and wellbeing both on and off the field.
The Banksia Project have built a community which represents mates supporting mates in the best possible way. Focused on early intervention in mental health, the team encourages individuals to learn new skills to increase their self-awareness and make positive lifestyle choices through ongoing free support groups called Growth Rooms.
This weekend, SUFC players will be wearing pink socks at our community round match with Southern Districts to recognise the importance of mental wellness.
In this video, SUFC player Matt Hood talks to The Banksia Project, program director Jack Jones about why the partnership means so much to the Club.
