We are thrilled to be partnering with Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT to launch the Buildcorp Sydney University Wheelchair Rugby Team!
Alongside Men’s Rugby, Women’s Rugby and Junior’s Rugby, SUFC will now have a Wheelchair Rugby team in the famous blue and gold hoops!
The team will be competing in the newly formed, Wheelchair Rugby National League competition which will see six of Australia’s leading rugby Clubs in action. Alongside SUFC are; Tuggeranong Vikings, University of Queensland, Brothers Rugby Club, Melbourne Rugby Club and Box Hill Rugby Club.
The Buildcorp Sydney University Wheelchair Rugby Team will compete in 3 Rounds of the 2022 Wheelchair Rugby National League with the first round taking place in Melbourne’s Cobblebank Stadium on 25 -27 February.
“Our organisation is wrapped to have our athletes belonging to one of the world’s great Rugby Clubs” said Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT CEO Mick Garnett said. “At its heart, Rugby is about inclusion, and this is another great move forward for the sport of Wheelchair Rugby in NSW”.
