Sydney University Football Club (SUFC) is proud to announce a new partnership with Airande, an innovative Australian business specialising in advanced disinfection and environmental health solutions.

Airande is focused on providing next-generation technologies that enhance hygiene, safety and wellbeing across a wide range of environments, including education, sport, healthcare and commercial facilities. Their solutions are designed to improve air and surface quality, reduce harmful pathogens, and support healthier shared spaces.

The partnership also represents a meaningful moment for the SUFC community, with Airande Director Bill Hovey a familiar and respected face around the club. Bill has been involved with Sydney University Football Club both directly and indirectly for more than 20 years, maintaining a strong personal connection to the club, its people, and its values.

Speaking on the partnership, SUFC highlighted the alignment between Airande and the club’s ongoing commitment to performance, care and innovation — on and off the field.

About Airande

Airande works at the intersection of health, technology and infrastructure, delivering practical solutions that help organisations create safer, cleaner and more resilient environments. “I have always been struck by SUFC and what it represents. Excellence and a commitment to make a contribution to the immediate community to which it belongs as well as to the broader rugby eco-system. These echo our own strategic values: excellence in science; environmental friendliness; and making a contribution to humanity. When looking for a mutually fulfilling partnership across our global network, I could not look beyond my relationship with the Club. SUFC was the obvious choice.” Stated Bill Hovey (Director)

Benefits to SUFC and the Community

This partnership represents what SUFC is all about, a community that supports each other both on and off the field. It is fantastic to see one of our long-standing members, Bill Hovey, continue his connection with the club through Airande. Bill and his team are helping us grow our rugby programme and create opportunities on the field, while we look forward to supporting Airande’s ambitions through the strength of the SUFC community off the field. We are excited to build a long-term partnership based on shared success.” Said SUFC President David Lyons.

SUFC looks forward to working closely with Airande to explore meaningful activations, pilot opportunities and long-term initiatives that deliver value for both organisations and the wider Sydney University network.
