Sydney University Football Club is proud to announce several exciting additions to our coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season, reinforcing our commitment to excellence across all levels of the Club.
Liam Winton – 1st Grade Assistant Coach
We are thrilled to welcome back Liam Winton to SUFC as our new 1st Grade Assistant Coach. A former Shute Shield premiership-winning player with the Club, Liam brings a wealth of experience, passion, and a deep understanding of SUFC’s proud traditions. His return marks a significant boost to our high-performance program, and we look forward to seeing his impact on the field and in the locker room.
Kodie Hawkins – Pathways Coordinator
Joining us in a pivotal development role is Kodie Hawkins, who steps in as Pathways Coordinator. Kodie will oversee the progression of our U16 and older junior players, as well as 2nd and 3rd Colts, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent flows into our senior ranks. He will also work closely with Nick Ryan to as the 1st Colts assistant coach, helping to shape the next generation of SUFC stars.
Ben Higgins – Women’s Head Coach
We’re also delighted to announce Ben Higgins as the new Head Coach of the SUFC Women’s Program. Ben returns to the Club after previously serving as an assistant coach during a premiership-winning season, and now takes the reins to lead our women’s side into an exciting new chapter. His leadership and familiarity with the program make him the ideal person to guide our high-performance women’s team in 2026 and beyond
