Congratulations to Michael Hodge! His remarkable journey in rugby has taken him from the Sydney University Football Club (SUFC) to Elite Player Pathway and U-18 Men’s Head Coach of the IRFU.
- SUFC Years:
- Michael Hodge joined SUFC as an 18-year-old in 2008.
- In 2012, he played a pivotal role in winning the Shute Shield Premiership with the 1st Colts team, where he was also awarded Best and Fairest.
- Over time, he played 70 1st Grade games and continued to excel on the field.
- Transition to Coaching:
- After retiring from professional rugby, Michael took up coaching roles.
- He returned to SUFC as Director of Rugby and 1st Colts Head Coach in November 2018.
- His contributions during challenging times were significant, and he played a crucial role in the club’s successes.
- Eventually, he was promoted to Head of High Performance, focusing on developing the 1st Team and 2nd Team squads.
