Ealing Trailfinders can today announce the signing of Rohan O’Regan for the 2018/19 season.
The Australian arrives from Sydney University after captaining them to Shute Shield success last weekend which brought his ability to the attention of the Trailfinders.
The 23-year-old, who can play in the second-row and back-row has spent three years leading the University side as well as featuring for the New South Wales Country Eagles in his native Sydney.
After an impressive spell of performances he was selected for the Sydney Stars NRC team, adding to his eye-catching rugby CV in the Southern Hemisphere.
He will be looking to fight for a place in the starting line-up against the likes of fellow Australian Jordy Reid with a number of crucial fixtures on the agenda.
O’Regan is excited to be starting a new challenge in West London.
“The prospect of coming to Ealing Trailfinders is a very exciting one. I look forward to adding to the success that the club has had over the years and contributing as much as I can to the team.”
Director of Rugby Ben Ward is looking forward to seeing O’Regan in action for the Trailfinders.
“Rohan is a player we have been looking at for a while and we are confident he will add a lot to our squad. He’s an excellent defender and also a great lineout option whilst having the ability to play in the back-row as well as the second-row so I’m sure he’ll be a great addition to the pack for the season.”
