The recent SUFC Colts camp held at Kinross Wolaroi School (KWS) in Orange was a resounding success, thanks to the thriving relationship between SUFC and KWS. This partnership enabled a group of our players to travel to Orange and be based at the picturesque KWS for a few days, engaging in gruelling mental and physical challenges that fostered team cohesion and built thriving relationships.

Highlights of the Camp

One of the standout moments of the camp was the trek up to the top of Mt Canobolas. This challenging hike not only tested the players’ physical endurance but also strengthened their camaraderie as they worked together to reach the summit.

A special thank you goes to the Sukkar family and GM Carmel Wilkins of the Canobolas Hotel for hosting the squad for a hearty meal and team activities on Saturday night. This evening was a perfect blend of relaxation and bonding, further solidifying the relationships within the team.

The camp also highlighted the relationships built between new and existing SUFC players, all united by a common goal of winning the Club Championship in 2025. The inclusion of current KWS 1st XV players in the training sessions added an extra layer of excitement and collaboration, enriching the experience for everyone involved.

Acknowledgements

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Principal Dr. Andrew Parry and School Sergeant Matt Tink for their support and hospitality. Their efforts ensured that the camp was a memorable and productive experience for all participants.
