Congratulations to Hamish Dunbar who played his 100th Grade game for the Club on Saturday with his appearances in 2nd Grade and 1st Grade.

Hailing from a small town called Marrar, near Wagga, Hamish joined SUFC in 2014 from The Scots College, when he enrolled at Sydney University to study Construction Management and Property.

Hamish made his 1st grade debut in 2016 v Easts so it’s fitting he played his 100th game against them too.

Later that year he went on to feature in the Grand Final, alongside his brother Stu. Unfortunately, there was no title that year, however Hamish has enjoyed Premiership success with 2nd Colts in 2014, as part of the famous 3 from 3 Colts Premierships year in 2015, as well as Back-to back Colin Caird Shields in 2019 and 2020.

Of his 100 games 35 are in 1st Grade.

Hamish has received multiple player awards during his time at SUFC, including; 2nd Grade’s Best & Fairest in 2019, the Craig Fear Encouragement Award in 2020, 3rd Grade Best Forward in 2018 and the Best & Fairest Colt in 2015.

Hamish has been a huge contributor to so many of SUFC’s successes and memories over the past 8 years, include tours to America and Japan as well as several title lifts as mentioned above, and at just 27 years old, he’s still got plenty more memories to make we’re sure.

Congratulations Mish on your well-deserved achievement.
