Last Saturday was the 220th game between us and the Shoreman. And it was our 140th win in 1st Grade, and our 63rd home win also. Our average score for all those matches is Uni 19 Norths 13.
We had 6 players make their debut in the main game.They were Sam Allsopp, Josh Calvert, Jack Matthews, Isaac Rumble, Hwi Sharples and Isi Naisarani.
We also picked up another Wallaby in Isi who scored a try on debut also, as did Jack Matthews a try and 5 goals, Jack needs just one conversion this week to bring up his 300 career points since Colts in 2022. At the moment he has scored 17 tries, 98 goals and 6 pen goals.
A couple of famous names are playing Grade with the club this season. Harry Staniforth (son of Scott) and Jack Sproats (grandson of Graeme), Welcome to both of you.
Quite a few milestones coming up this season, last Saturday, Jack McCalman played his 150th Club game, big Congratulations to you mate. Others through the season are Henry Clunies-Ross on 97 1st grade games, Jack Stanford on 132 Club games, Connor O’Shea 93 Club games and 45 1st grade games, Jake Gordon 92 Club games, Sam Talakai on 91 Club games, Charlie Hancock 81 Club games and 43 1st Grade games, Sepesa Loga-Tarogi 72 Club games, Villie Cocker and Pat Calvassy both on 49 Club games, Tom Horton 49 Club games and 40 1st Grade games, Ciaran Loh 41 Club games and 27 1st Grade games, and Eddie Poolman is on and 51 Club games and 35 1st Grade games.
