That 132 years and 6 days ago today (11.8.1888) we played Britain, now called the British and Irish Lions at the ASG. We lost the match 4-8, with Uni player Percy Colquhorn kicking a drop goal worth 4 points. SUFC was having its 25th birthday.
Last Saturday’s loss to Souths was only our 4th home loss since 26.4.2003, that’s 19 games since then. In fact, it is only our 9th home loss. Souths came into the Comp back in 1989.
James Kane reached his 50 1st Grade points, with a try and 3 goals, to take him to 58 this season.
Will Goddard also reached his 50th point with a 2nd grade conversion
Henry Clunies-Ross went over 2 tries in the main game and now has 5 from 5 games. Henry has some company with 5 players right behind him all on 4.
Nat Tamwoy also scored a double in 3rd grades comeback victory, he is now on 42 career touchdowns.
While Papillion Sevele became our 10th player to make his 1st grade debut this year.
In colts, Digby Cooke got two more to take him to 9 tries in 5 games.
