Did you know:
That not only are our 1st Grade team winning games, but they continue to break club records. We won our 120th game against Manly and our 61st at home. We also scored our biggest win against them, and the highest score against the Marlins. The last record (highest score) was in fact the lowest score our 1sts have had this season.
We are averaging 8 tries a game and the 1st XV average score in their first 5 rounds is 52 to 19.
The four grade teams have an average score of 31 to 18 for the season so far.
A total of 42 players have scored points after 5 rounds in the senior grades.
Lots of other stats from the round, including three players making their 1st Grade debut in James Widders-Leece and Brad Amituanai as well as Tasman Smith who is still Colts eligible.
8 players ran onto the field for the first time this season, Sepesa Logi-Tarogi, Jack Stanford, Ben Bull, Darcy Page, Alfie Mawdsley, James Widders-Leece, Harry Jeffery and Ryan Leveille.
Jack Stanford finally played his 100th Grade game, he is now the Club’s 151st Centurion. Jack had his rent a crowd there for the big game and almost scored for them in the 2nd half. Congrats mate.
While Hugh Summerhayes ran on as a replacement in 1st Grade for his 75th club game.
Next week three players should play their 50th club match, they are Harrison Blake, Sydney Malifa and Nathaniel Tamwoy. Finally, our young club is growing up.
Milestones which could be reached this week include, Daniel Poletto on 491 career points, Declan Moore with yet another 2 tries (11 in 5 games) is now in 295 career points and Connor O’Shea has a chance to reach his 300 career points being on 287 at the moment.
Last Saturday, Josh Hardie reach his 450 career points with a try, 2 goals and a penalty goal, he is now on 454.
Eddy King took his career tries to 70 and moved to 352. Eddy has a goal to his credit in that total too.
All the Colts won their games as did our our womens teams (Womens 2 v Two Blues and Womens 1 were awarded a 5 point win as Randwick forfeited the match) that’s 9 from 9 wins for the weekend!
