Uni and Eastwood shared the results in round 4 with 3 wins, 3 losses and draw each, however we managed to score 29 tries to Eastwood’s 9 tries in Colts and our Grade sides were in front also by 19 tries to 13. So we ended up 48 tries to 22 from all 7 games.
Although a home game, it was not at SUFG and our losing rate to Eastwood with away matches is now 7 in row, back to 2014.
Ben Hughes celebrated his 50th Club game with yet another 2 tries to give him 6 in 4 matches and leading try scorer in the club. Ben needs just one more try for his career 300 points in tries alone.
Hamish Dunbar will play his 50th next weekend against Gordon.
James Kane scored his first try of the season and kicked 3 goals to put him on 41 points for the season and taking him past his 900th career point.
Hugh Summerhayes came on in 1st Grade as a replacement and scored his debut try in that team. As did Jack Murray up from colts went over in his first game in 2nd Grade.
Our 1st Colts scored a record score verses Eastwood with a thumping 84-19 victory, surpassing the 2003 colts who beat the ‘Woods’ 72-23. Ten of our 1st Colts team scored in this game.
Jon Searle scored 4 tries to take him to 6 and the leading try scorer in Colts.
Max Robson leads all Colts with 60 points from just 4 games. He has 4 tries and 20 goals. Harry Wilson is second to Max on 47 points with 2 tries 17 goals and 1 pen goal.
