Did you know…….

After 23 days away in Greece, Italy and Turkey, I am back. Missed 3 games but with the help of Fusesport was able to know every result for the seven teams. I did set a new stat for myself, and that was my first holiday in the footy season for 64 winters.

Because of the missed games I have put together a combine list of milestones.

Welcome back to some Old boys to the 2023 season with Tom Horton, Lachlan Swinton, Folau Fainga’a, Tom English, Eddie Poolman, George Poolman, Henry Robertson, Ciaran Loh, Papilion Sevele, Dan Botha and Sione Taufui. Most of these guys are well known Rep players and all have played 1st Grade.

Max Von Appen scored 2nd grades 50th try vs Randwick.

Luke Ratcliffe played his 50th 1st grade game vs Randwick

Jamie Clarke 2nd grade prop is currently on 6 tries this season, nearly as good as his yellow cards.

And George Poolman scored 1st grades 50th try vs Norths.

The clubs lucky number playing this year is 17. You see we have won or lost games by 17 to whatever. The 1st XV are the best 4 times, beat Randwick 21-17, beat West Harbour 21-17, beat Manly 21-17 and lost to the Two Blues 17-33.

The past two weeks for James Widders-Leece will probably never happen again. Two weeks ago he scored 3 tries vs Randwick than last Saturday scored another 4 vs Norths. James is a No.2 (Hooker) which makes it a even better result. He also has scored one in 2nd grade back in Round 4 vs Randwick. And we thought Declan Moore was good.

A few players shall reach their 50th Club game this season those being Darcy Breen 46, Pat Calavassy 45, Tom English 45, Eddie Poolman 45, Lachlan Swinton 44, Tom Horton 44, Villi Cocker 43 and Alex Simson 41.

Milestones to continue sooner then later with Max Robson on 790 career points,  Connor O’Shea reached his 300th career points recently and last Saturday scored 3 tries and a goal to take him to 329, Connor has at the moment 99 conversions in that total. While Theo Strang is on 196 career points and Jack Stanford on 48 club tries or 240 points. All four players have Colts points in there totals.

Third grade Colts beat Norths in Round 1, 69-0 last Saturday they beat them again 69-10. Need to pick up the defence boys with that 10 points.
