That the 1st XV win over last years Premiers was the 16th home win in a row, which started on the 22.7.2000 on No.1 Oval. The last time we kept Gordon to single points was 10.5.2014 when we won 46-7 at Chatswood Oval. Also Saturdays win was our 50th home win against the Highlanders.
The 4 senior Grades only had 3 tries against them, with 2nd and 3rd Grade holding their line.
Next weekend we have another Centurion, in Mitch Whiteley who will become our 152nd member in this unique listings of players.
Banjo Travers played his 75th club game 2nd Grade.
Daniel Poletto, scored 2 tries and 3 goals for 16 points in 1st Grade’s 26 points scored, to bring up his 50 points for the season. Dan is now on 521 career points at Uni.
Michael Baldock played in the 3rd Grade 33-0 win and scored a try as well as taking the 3 points in the Best & Fairest award. But his day wasn’t quite over, as he was told to stand by for the 1st Grade match. He made his 1st Grade debut about 5 ½ hours later and is still celebrating his day of rugby.
Declan Moore scored again, now on 16 tries from 9 games, and this one was the Clubs 150th try for season 2021.
Our Colts sides had a tough weekend verses the Highlanders losing their first game of the season in 1st Colts and 2nd and 3rd both playing drawn games.
The last time we didn’t win a match against the ‘Tartans’ in Colts was Round 5 2018.
And the last time our 1st Colts XV lost a game was Round 10 last year, that’s 15 wins in a row. That loss was also against Gordon, who we beat a week or two later in the Preliminary Final to go on the Grand Final and win the 2020 Competition.
