Did you know…….
While looking through Trove this week I found a write up about J. David Brockoff.
It was not about Rugby either, but achieved on 20.4.1946. It was school cricket match, which “Brock” was good at also. He was playing with Scots College Sydney, who were playing the Scotch College of Melbourne.
Well he had a pretty good day with the ball, taking 4 for 37 (1st Inn) and 5 for 48 (2nd Inn).
And we all thought he was just another Wallaby at SUFC.
Last Saturday at SUFG No. 2 we had probably a first in Rugby ever. You see Jack McCalman and sister Jemima both were Captains of their University 1st XV.
And last week I mention Piper Duck becoming our 4th Wallaroo Captain but forgot to say was also Captain of the Waratah Women’s side as well.
Last Saturday was SUFC 125th win over Wests, and our 66th win at home. It was also our 8th win in a row and our 6th win in a row at home. In fact since 2003 we have played Wests 20 times at home and lost only twice.
A few milestones this weekend with Ed King and Luke Ratcliff reaching there 50th 1st Grade game, well done men.
And last Saturday Jack Stanford played his 125th Grade game.
In Colts Nacani Batidravu is top try scorer in 1st grade Colts (all Clubs) with 10, while Olly White is equal 2nd on 8.
