Did you know…….

That after 11 rounds of Rugby our 3rd grade Colts team were 9th. They had 2 matches which where byes and had won only 2 games and lost the other 7 games. Why am I telling you this. Well there was huge chance they may not make the Semi’s this season. You see this team (3rd grade Colts) made the Semi’s in 1995 and have been there every year since, that’s 28 years in a row. A lot of that 1995 side would be getting close to their 50th birthday. An outstanding record that a lot of people aren’t aware of.

We won 5 of our 7 seven games verses Gordon and have seven teams in the Finals fight. Our Ladies team also finished the season as undefeated Minor Premiers.

We came in fourth in the Grade Club Championship and Colts came 3rd after getting bonus points x 3 teams in the last six rounds.

Do you know who Jackson Stiel is ? Well he plays Colts. On Saturday he played 2nd Colts, then went on in 1st Colts as a replacement and scored a try. And a couple of hours later was a replacement again on Seniors 2nd grade match where he picked up a point in the Best & Fairest. He won’t forget that Saturday ever.

Jack Stanford scored 2 tries to bring up his 50th career try and he’s 250 points.

Sean Hasegawa scored the 50th try this season for  4th grade.

Sam Renton also scored a try in 4th grade, and is now on 49 career tries and 522 career points. Of that 522 total 297 have been scored in grade since his first season in Colts back in 2015.

Some players have to wait till next season to reach their milestones. Jack McCalman is on 148 club games. Henry Clunies–Ross sits on 97 1st grade games. And Jac Lloyd needed just one converson to reach his 100 1st grade points for the season.

In fact we haven’t had a player reach 100 1st grade points since James Kane got 203 in the 2019 season.

Jude Blair from Colts with his six goals brought up his 50 points for the season and now is on 57.

Thirteen Colts players have reached 50 or more points this season.

And Tas Smith reached his 50 season points with try in 2nd grade.
