Sydney University
Vs
Warringah

There was no easter bunny chocolates for University last Saturday. Instead of enjoying the sweet treats of a victory a rather large green rodent inflicted a ton of pain on the visiting Students.
University like Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin space flight came back to earth but instead of the euphoria of last week the Students suffered a significant loss of 46-17.
The conditions were again balmy and against a big Warringah fifteen University really were out muscled through the majority of the game.
Only a Benjy Joseland try early in the first half had University ahead 10-6. But after Joseland’s unfortunate sin binning soon after, Warringah assumed dominance. There seemed an overlap every time the ball was spun wide and University had no counter. By halftime Warringah led 20-10.
The second half was as if Warringah were on a *kakorrhaphiphobia mission and piled on the points to punish University. Dropped balls, missed first up tackles and unnecessary penalties did not help the Student’s cause and by the thirty minute mark a swag of tries had Warringah ahead 39-10. University gained a consolation converted try from a five metre lineout near the end but the final scoreline was 46-17.
It is never easy playing at Warringah and today was one such day. Nothing went right and the game best be used as a learning experience for the season ahead.
Next Friday on one of the nation’s most revered days Anzac Day, University are at home against Gordon.
