Season 2023 for our Women’s program is upon us. SUFC are excited to announce that we will be fielding two (2) teams in the Jack Scott XV’s competition once again, ‘Blue’ and ‘Gold’ team.

This Saturday we see our Women take on the Two Blues and Eastern Suburbs respectively in Round 1 of the Jack Scott Cup. SUFC ‘Gold’ take on Two Blues at Eric Tweedale stadium at 10am and SUFC ‘Blue’ come up against a formidable Easts side at St Johns Rugby 11:50am.

SUFC Executive General Manager, Nathan Charles stated, “Upon my return to the club, I was amazed to see the number of women partaking in the program, the level of skill and attitude that supported is inspiring and strongly supports what our club is about.”

Led by Club Captain Millie Scott, for those of you in our community that know Millie, it is evident that the SUFC characteristics and values are strongly upheld, it is easy to see why Millie is leading from the front.

Thank you to the coaches and volunteers that make the Women’s program what it is. SUFC are proud to be leading the Women’s game through commitment of resources, development and a strong pathway for all involved.

Whilst this is not the first program in the Women’s calendar, having performed very well throughout the early 7’s tournaments, taking out Hamilton and Warringah, with a close second place at Kiama, these results have set the standard.

On behalf of the entire SUFC community, Goodluck to our Women’s teams for 2023.
