Wallaroos Coach, Jay Tregonning has confirmed a 32-player squad for October’s Rugby World Cup in New Zealand including 8 Lionesses, Iliseva Batibasaga, Emily Chancellor, Lori Cramer, Piper Duck, Grace Hamilton, Bridie O’Gorman, Sera Naiqama and Adiana Talakai.
In particular, special mention to Ili Batibasaga (pictured) who heads to New Zealand for her third XVs World Cup campaign, having first featured in the 2010 Rugby World CUp in England, where the Wallaroos finished third. She also played in a 7s World Cup in 2013.
The squad will head into camp on September 23 in Sydney before travelling to New Zealand on September 25. The Wallaroos will open their campaign against defending champions New Zealand on October 8 at a sold out Eden Park.
This will be followed by clashes with Six Nations sides Scotland (October 15) and Wales (October 22) at Okara Park, Whangarei.
