Watch 3rd Grade Season Highlights here:
The Mighty 3rd Grade side triumphed in the Grand Final in a manner fitting for the season they put together.
The scrum dominance on the big day was second to none, and earned the team many penalties throughout the game, and resulted in a couple of push-over try’s to boot.
Forwards marching scrums and mauls 20m downfield may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I can assure you the coaching box was loving every minute of it!
Dave Dillon’s boot kept the scoreboard ticking over, and in the end, 31-8 in a wet weather Grand Final is a resounding result.
There were plenty of running rugby highlights as well, the first try in the far right hand corner was a cracker, finished off by Dillon and Sullivan – but it is usually defence that wins finals games, and the defence in the first half was again outstanding.
Well done to 3s for finishing with the Minor Premiership and Grand Final victory, it has been a fantastic team effort all season, and it certainly wasn’t just the 15 starting players, or the 21 that ended up taking the field on the final day that deserve the recognition.Everyone that took the field through the season was instrumental to finishing on top of the table, and thus putting us in the position to finish the season off as we did. Congrats to all, and thank you to all the Coaching, Medical, and Management/behind the scenes staff that come together to allow the season to play out as it did. Bring on 2015!!!
