2020 Coaching Structure

After the announcement that Head Coach Robert Taylor was to depart SUFC, we have gone through a restructure of our coaching staff for the 2020 season. With Michael Hodge joining Joe Horn-Smith in 1st Grade, we had an opening in the Colts Program and we are pleased to announce Toby L’Estrange as the new 1st Colts Head Coach. Toby will be assisted by Adam Hill who will work with all 3 teams on set piece, and Chris Delooze who will overseas the whole program as Director of Colts. 

Toby is an American international and a former SUFC player (2007-2011), who has a strong bloodline to the Club, with his father and two brothers also past players.

Toby made his international debut at fly half for the Eagles in 2012 against Russia, scoring a try in a 40–26 victory for the U.S. He was appointment captain of the USA Selects Captain for Americas Rugby Championship 2013 and made 14 appearances for the USA eagles as well as playing for New York Athletic before joining RFU Championship side London Welsh in 2014, where the team won the competition earning promotion to the Premiership. Unfortunately, Toby sustained a fractured leg which caused him to retire prematurely. Since returning to Australia he has been teaching and coaching at Riverview.
